Fairmont and Ritz-Carlton recruit at EHL

Fairmont presented their company to students at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne last night. Amanda Holmes, Eugenio Pirri and Dorothée Cornils, representing the Canadian firm, gave a brief history of Fairmont to the numerous participants.
Founded in 1886 under the name of Canadian Pacific Hotels, the hotel chain was bought out by Fairmont Hotels in 1999 and permanently took the name « Fairmont » in 2000. The company is responsible for three brands totalling 98 hotels : Raffles (7 hotels), Fairmont (64 hotels) et Swissôtel (27 hotels).
Today the representatives of Ritz-Carlton, Maria Eugenia Martinez, Grainne Johnston and Rivero Delgado are meeting the EHL students. They will principally be recruiting for the Arts hotels in Barcelona, Powerscout in Irland and Abama in the Canary Islands, Spain. Ritz-Carlton was founded in 1983 and counts 73 luxury hotels worldwide and 39,000 employees.
